+Verdant Moon shouldn't be alive. Her family suffered from a theft gone wrong, which became a murder... gone wrong, which escalated into scorched earth. Gone. Wrong. Verdant emerged from that a mass of burns and scar tissue, clutching tightly the Heirloom that was the natural target of the original theft.
+Verdant Moon lept at the opportunity to never have to face that same struggle again, and used what frayed influence her family once had to get herself Enhanced as one of the Various. Now without a family duty to tie her back, she lept into service for the Throne, and travelled to those places and situations where having a "terrifying cyborg" on hand was an asset to the Throne. Whether this was diplomacy, or brutal violence, both served Verdant's tastes either way. Out in space she saw the Decay first hand, in a way many people in the Cooperation are lucky not to.
+It frightened her. Terrified her. Owing so much to technology, the true face of decay spelled certain doom for her. Then she decided: no more. She would no more be held back by technology, much as it had saved her once. She vowed to find a way beyond and above this, and to let nothing stand in her way.
+Taking a time for herself, and pushing aside diplomatic responsibilities, she boarded the **Muse IX** in hopes of finding some way to clear her mind for a while before her hunt begins. Now she is stranded in the Keter system - unsure which way lies forward for her.
